Penta valves for vessel industry
Penta WSS model for the bilge
The Bilge: area of the boat, located in the lowest part of the engine room, where all non-conveyed discharges from small losses in pipes, joints or pumps are collected.
Problems: fuel with risk of fire and solid presence. The bilge waters are purified in oily matter separators and are expelled outside. Upon arrival at the port, the polluting parts that remain on board are removed at the port for treatment and disposal.
Which technical solution have we adopted?
The Lloyd’s Register + 100A1 Rules and Regulations for SSC requires that valve in the bilge area must not contain materials that could be altered by a possible fire.
Perfect application for Penta srl WSS model with seats in Pentafite, which allows to keep the operating torques 40% lower than any other metal seat.
The wafer construction minimized the weight, an important aspect in a boat, while the technical construction with seals in expanded graphite guarantees the tightness in line and towards the outside, even in the case of fire.
